As a 13 year veteran of the Armed Forces, Rhonda Clemmer worked alongside fellow soldiers as a Combat Medic and Avionics Repair Technician providing support to various units in the rear and during deployments. She experienced two decades in many roles such as a human resource recruiter responsible for hiring the best possible employees for a major Fortune 500 company, a career counselor focused on preparing welfare-to-work recipients to obtain and maintain self-sufficiency, a faith-based employment training entrepreneur collaborating with non-profit crisis organizations to assist in curbing the recidivism rate of criminal offenders and the disadvantaged population of young adults, and a housing manager for homeless veterans battling similar issues to domestic violence, mental illness, and substance abuse.
Her belief is that no matter how old you are, it's never too late to pursue your purpose. Throughout those various endeavors, Rhonda battled with depression caused by verbal, mental and sexual assaults. Through serious and sometimes crippling bouts of depression, she always kept that one little mustard seed of faith that she would conquer the demons of mental illness one by one to continue on her life’s mission; to live free and bring a few others along for the victory party. In the depths of her despair, her innermost belief is that changing the outlook changes the outcome. She shares not for the personal attention and definitely not for pity, but for those injured souls who are just like her. You may say you can’t do it, but she says with love, support and understanding from someone who has been there, YOU CAN! Rhonda can be reached at rhondaclemmer@gmail.com.
