Author - Kirsten Marie Peterson
Born in a small town in Wisconsin, Kirsten demonstrated an extraordinary imagination and knack for storytelling from a young age. She would entertain her brother and dad for hours with her splendid stories of a magical land she lived in and all the antics the eclectic characters experienced. By nature, Kirsten was extremely shy, and these stories were her way of experiencing all that life had to offer, the things she was entirely too introverted to try herself. Although an imaginative child, Kirsten only took pen to paper for school assignments or to write non-fiction reports at home during school vacations. Having moved from WI to FL in her elementary years, Kirsten had many thoughts, dreams, and stories always swirling in her head but lacked the confidence to share them. Even with several people close to her encouraging her to write them down, Kirsten kept her words tucked safely inside her own mind.
Kirsten finally took it upon herself to write a nonfiction magazine article for a local small town publication and realized the enormous sense of satisfaction she got as a distributor of knowledge.
A teacher for 25 years, Kirsten retired early to homeschool her son. Although this was a successful endeavor for her son’s future, she craved to share her knowledge with more than just one student. It was at this time that her love of storytelling for both fiction and nonfiction was reinvigorated. She is currently working on multiple writing projects including a how-to series, a compilation of poems, and more. Kirsten currently resides in Illinois with her 5 children and 2 dogs.
